Full-time Native English Teacher for Kindergarten (2 positions)

at Canadian International Academy Cambodia (CIAC) in Phnom Penh

Job Description
  - Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the students;
- Recognizes and responds to the needs of each student by using developmentally; appropriate teaching and
student behaviour management techniques;
- Assist in planning and developing school programs in accordance with CIAC curriculum;
- Understand and follow all school’s policies, protocols, and management’s directions;
- Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with co-workers, and building a positive
working relationship;
- Ensures the program operates at all times in compliance with all CIAC curriculum and standards;
- Observes and records relevant information on each student's progress as required/as per school practices;
- Attends and participates actively in all programs/ school, parental or other meetings as required;
- Shares responsibility for maintaining program equipment in good repair; assists with toy/equipment
disinfecting;
- Shares responsibility for maintaining the play environments and storage areas in an organized and clutter-free
condition;
- Participates in regular fire drills and other emergency procedures;
- Engages in positive collaboration with the other programs and teachers of the school in coordinating the
effective use of equipment, facilities and personnel;
- Participates in ongoing professional development and attends/maintains all mandatory training;
- Participates in the supervision, training and mentoring of new teachers;
- Assists the school directors in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by promptly reporting any
existing and/or potential workplace hazards.
Job Requirements
  - Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident and dynamic personality.
- Strong creative outlook.
- Experienced working International School is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skill
- Self-oriented, dynamics
- Good at problem solving skills; Confident, organized, good communication skills
- Early Childhood Education certificate is an asset
- Other teaching certificate is an asset
- Native English language is a must (speak, read, and write English)
- Other language spoken beside English is an asset
